These guys solved a drive shaft problem with my van that 3 other mechanics could not isolate and repaired it with a very reasonable cost. Chris, the customer service manager, is a pleasure to deal with. I am surprised there aren't more reviews of the location. They are great!
We had an unexpected car issue while traveling in Canada, and I can’t say enough good things about our experience with AAMCO Transmissions. Our check engine light came on, and when we called, Chris, the service manager, immediately offered a free scan and diagnosis, which already put us at ease. On our way to the shop, things got worse when we blew out a tire—but Chris went above and beyond by helping arrange to have it repaired so we could safely make it in. Once there, he ran a full scan and even took the car for a test drive. Thankfully, he found nothing urgent to worry about and gave us clear, honest recommendations for what to address when we return home. It’s rare to find this level of integrity, kindness, and customer care—especially when you’re far from home and stressed. Chris treated us like longtime customers, not just travelers passing through. Highly recommend AAMCO in Scarborough—and a big thank you to Chris for turning a stressful situation into a positive experience.

Chris, who manages the customer experience, is equally amazing—always kind, professional, and consistently brings such a positive attitude. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and taken care of. They’ve done extensive work on my Infiniti JX 35 vehicle, including rebuilding my transmission and transfer case, as well as fixing my alternator and rare differentials.
