These guys solved a drive shaft problem with my van that 3 other mechanics could not isolate and repaired it with a very reasonable cost. Chris, the customer service manager, is a pleasure to deal with. I am surprised there aren't more reviews of the location. They are great!

I had the opportunity of meeting both Chris and Andy. Both guys were very professional and I am very happy to have met them. I normally take my 2011 BMW 328i AWD to the dealership for service and always have had a great experience. However in this situation my car needed a transmission diagnostic which shocked me. My situation started in 2020 just before the pandemic. I noticed my RPMs would go up to 1500 RPMs sporadically without reason. When I had asked about this at the Oakville BMW the mechanic at that time had no idea and cleared the issue which at the time seemed liked a minor fix. Every year my car would have sporadic rpms 3-4 times a year of 1500 where I could never get it to repeat at the dealership. This only happened when it rained or the weather was very damp. Each time this happened I would have to drive it for about 30 minutes until the RPMs went back to its normal 600. Fast forwarding to 2022 I noticed this odd squeak which sounded like it was coming from the engine area. At the time my car had 180,000 km At 198,000 km I decided to change the belt and had the pulleys and any turning parts checked. Thought that would fix the squeak. It didn’t. I had searched BMW forums to find any information on same year BMW problems like mine but could not find anything. Then a month ago my car started to jerk and change gear oddly. My BMW guy advised I should have the car properly diagnosed by a transmission shop because of the shifting issue. Prior to the odd shifting my car did start to throw a code to have the water pump replaced. After my car was properly diagnosed at AAMCO the report came back advising my transmission was starting to go. I was given the option to have it rebuilt or to have it replaced with a new one. I chose to have it rebuilt. After the rebuilt was completed along with the water pump and thermostat replaced and the oil change done at the same time I was amazed how much better my car ran. It felt like brand new and even better than when I first bought it. I was advised to drive it normal for the first 500 km then bring it back to have it inspected for any leaks or other issues. I visited AAMCO as promised and all was good. My car was given a clean bill of health lol. Chris was very helpful with my situation and very accommodating as he knew I was very worried about this process. After getting my car back and now driving it for almost two months I am very happy to say it runs smoothly and a lot better than before. I have no squeaks and no RPM issues. The gears shift so much more smoothly. My recommendation especially for ladies who want to keep their BMWs please go see Chris and Andy. If you love your BMW like I do it’s worth every penny to see these guys and have them take care of your ride. To this day I am so very happy I was recommended to them. They have earned my trust and my business. Thanks Theresa.

The Customer Service Manager (Chris) was very friendly and straightforward. I felt very assured that they were doing a thorough diagnosis and were recommending what was needed to address the problem with my car.

I would like to Thank Chris and Andy at the Scarborough AAMCO. I was trying to get home to Ottawa (from Toronto) and my transmission was acting up. I was afraid my car wasn't safe to drive and wanted it investigated before attempting the journey. They squeezed me into a very busy day to give me their assessment. I needed a new transmission (or a used transmission installed on my older vehicle). Chris and Andy explained the problem to me and my husband (over the phone). They were willing to get me a used transmission but it would mean staying a number of days longer in Toronto. I decided to take the chance with the drive. I happily made it all the way to Ottawa! The highway driving was fine. It was the street driving the last 10 kms that presented a problem, but I was close to home and made it to the garage! Chris and Andy were so friendly and wished me the best of luck. They didn't try to hard sell me to stay in town so they could fix the problem. I truly felt they had my best intentions and wished me luck on the drive. So this is a Thank You note for calming my nerves a bit, and helping me understand my car issues. If I lived in Toronto, I would certainly have asked them to fix my car. It's nice to meet honest people who care! Thanks again! I made it! (I also didn't want you wondering if I was stuck on the side of the highway somewhere before Ottawa!). Lee-Ann
