These guys solved a drive shaft problem with my van that 3 other mechanics could not isolate and repaired it with a very reasonable cost. Chris, the customer service manager, is a pleasure to deal with. I am surprised there aren't more reviews of the location. They are great!
Chris was very helpful and kind by assisting me with the diagnosis for my vehicle issues. My rear differential was at the last leg of it’s life and Chris invited me to the shop the following day for a diagnostic at AAMCO. Within an hour the issue was confirmed, parts were ordered and within a week I was back on the road driving. I can’t thank the mechanics at AAMCO Scarborough enough. Highly recommend.
I needed transmission work and was referred to Chris and Andy! Chris was extremely friendly, patient and kind. He explained all my options to be and walked me through (diagram included!) and showed me my best options and gave me great, honest advice. I feel lucky to have been referred to them and feel completely taken care of and had a great experience. Strongly recommend!
I am writing this review as a complete third-party individual, not previously known to AAMCO, American Driveline, or its affiliated owners, both locally and/or otherwise. I am in the business industry by profession and my father is a heavy duty mechanic. I have had multiple interactions with Scarborough AAMCO, and I know a good mechanic when I see one. The industry of fixing cars is very much an art. No two situations are exactly the same, and solutioning is not only based on recommendations, but willingness by the consumer as well. Andy and Chris have a team of highly skilled mechanics working behind them, and the service they provide is unprecedented. Five mechanic shops prior to AAMCO did nothing to further investigate the issue of burning rubber in my vehicle's rear tires. I even had one tell me to continue driving until something bad happens so they can fix it. There is nothing more important to me than my safety, and I did not have to explain this to AAMCO. They understood my concerns, and took me seriously even when they were unable to replicate what I was experiencing. They took their time to investigate and assess the issue. They also gave me recommendations based on a high degree of expertise and knowledge, which I know to be consistent with industry standards. Cars are machines and they work by trial and error. Andy is not a magician but he comes close. It would take a novel to detail the history of my vehicle and interactions with Andy and Chris, but they are solid, humble, honest, and knowledgeable people. In an industry muddled by frauds, it is incredibly refreshing to find a trustworthy business with morals and values. Do not hesitate to take your vehicle to Scarborough AAMCO. They will take care of you.
